RULES

  • Full Circleball is played with hands.

  • The basic rules are very similar to or a mixture of those in Handball, Basketball or Volleyball. (Rules may vary depending on the chosen game style: Handball, Basketball or Volleyball)

  • The ball is similar to that used in Handball, Volleyball and/or Basketball (also depending on the chosen game style).

  • A player is not allowed to make more than one step while holding the ball in his or her hands. No walking or running with the ball in the hands.

  • The ball has to be passed on to a teammate or bounced onto the floor on each step.

  • A player passes the ball by throwing or handing it to a teammate.

  • The ball can be passed on or thrown across the Circle Field, though never under or above the three Goal Circles.

  • No physical tackles or holding an opponent onto the body, arms, legs, etc.

  • Fouls are punished with a Free Throw of the ball or a Penalty.

  • As soon as the offense team loses the ball or scores a goal then it is the defense team, which becomes the offense team, to start a new game.

  • The former offense team, which becomes the defending team, quickly has to run back home to their side of the Circle Field to try to stop the new offense team from scoring. “What goes around comes around”.

  • The game is supervised by one REFEREE and one LINE REFEREE.

  • Full Circleball can be played by both men and women, as well as by children over 5 years old.
